Our children’s Xmas Party was held at the Botanic Gardens. 80 children were present to see some reptiles from Reptile World, have their face painted by Trudy Smith’s Art and of course there was a visit from Santa.
Adam from Reptile World wandered among the children and adults to provide everyone with an opportunity to get close to a blue-tongued lizard, a green tree snake, a python and baby crocodile called “snappy”. Face painting was a favorite as usual, particularly for those who were not so sure about the reptiles.
Santa made a scheduled stop to the Botanic Gardens before the end of the morning. The Botanic Gardens provided a perfect backdrop for our Christmas celebrations.
The pictures tell the story of our celebrations.
Harry, 2 years, and Tyrell, almost 4 were the perfect trees for the tree python.
As well as the tree python, children were lucky enough to touch the blue-tongue, the python and “snappy” while they waited for Santa to arrive.
