The children raced each other on the hobby horses.
While taking a rest in the shade they chatted amongst themselves and decided to use the skipping ropes(previously the starting and finishing lines) for long reins on their horses. They also rearranged the chairs to build a wagon “cause we are too hot and tired from racing” explained Jackson.
Olly and Freyja then asked if next week we could have a cowboy and cowgirl dress up week.
Week two: At the children’s request we had a dress up week filled with lots of wild western activities:
– Dress up day : Howdy partners!! Saddle up and join in the fun on Tuesday – Come dressed in your best Cowboy/Cowgirl gear!!! – Can you build a wagon challenge: An old clothes horse, sheets, wooden wagon wheels (found in Nanna’s garden) and wooden chairs – Campfire with gumnut tea and toasted marshmallow – Wanted Posters: Individual wanted posters with photos of the children showing their best wild western poses – wanted for funny things like “eating all the chips” – Woody and Jessie Dolls and puzzles – Sheriff badge craft – Making Cowboy and cowgirl puppets
